Welcome, from sol and Ms160!
Both this blog and Mistress160's Abode contain an enormous amount of material that has proved useful to other new kinksters over the years. But at the same time the blogs have become hard to find your way around.
Here are a few tips:
If you have specific kinky interests / topics you want to find:.
- Use the "SEARCH" link in the right hand column, to look for blog posts on specific topics.
- Check out the "LABELS" in the right hand column, to look for blog posts and discussion of specific BDSM topics.
- Check out the "LABELS" in the right hand column, to see if any topics push your buttons.
- Scroll through the BLOG POST TITLES in the section in the right hand column titled WHAT's GONE BEFORE.
- Check through the blog lists on the home page, to find other bloggers with similar interests as well as a BDSM online resources list.
MOST COMMON INFORMATION REQUESTS WE RECEIVE:
What's a good place to find out what all the BDSM terms you use, mean?
Start with Wiki's BDSM Glossary :). You might also like to check out Wiki's BDSM Topics page. The latter is pretty basic, but it might give you the right terminology for kinks and fetishes that interest you, which you can then google.
When you decide you'd like a more comprehensive glossary check out the one on Franklin Veaux's site.
Looking for info about playing online?
- Check out the list of posts about playing online in the right column of the BDSM For Beginners blog. These include: How To Find An Online Play Partner, D/s Cam Play, How To Cope With Online Play Partner Disappearances,
- I highly recommend you join FETLIFE. Fetlife is free to join. Unlike Collarme or ALT it's not a dating site, it's a real kinky community.
At the point of giving up, re finding a lifestyle partner?
- Read these two posts by Axe of Unspeakable Axe : First: Why Are You Still Reading? Then: It Will All Work Out Eventually
- Have a read of the Going Real Time posts in the BDSM For Beginners series. This includes posts on Finding Your Local Scene, Attending Your first Munch and Attending Your First Play Party
- Join FETLIFE and locate a geographic group near you that organizes munches. Fetlife is great for groups like this. I run one for the region where I live.
- Check out the list of posts about Just Starting To Play in the right column of the BDSM For Beginners blog. You'll find posts on everything from putting your first kinky toy box together to new, moderate and advanced BDSM techniques and tips.
Want to ask me a question?
- Best way to reach me is via the C Box on the home page of this blog or via my Formspring account, or you can write to me privately via Fetlife.
